Thanks man !

I paid a guy on YouTube $5 to use some AI software and rip apart the track into isolated drums, bass & vocals so I could stitch together a backing track in ReaperDAW to play over.

I do that with pretty much all my backing tracks. I've been using Moises for a few years now and it does a pretty good job.

I demo'ed Moises a while back, but couldn't get any good results.

The guy on YouTube who did this track for me said, "the older the track, the easier it is to get a good isolation of all the parts".

I asked him what software he was using, but got no answer.

I don't know when you tried it but from experience it's improved over the years. I can't speak for other apps and there certainly may be better ones out there but for what I use it for, it does a decent enough job.

I demo'ed it about a year ago.

I kinda moved on from covers and start writing & recording my own instrumental stuff, but every now and then I get nostalgic for the old tones.

I’m pretty much all covers. With work taking up a lot of time, it’s low brain energy to slowly learn the parts than to try to chisel the rust off any creativity I might have. I play in a weekly improv “challenge” to keep that part of my brain awake.

Awesome job. You take requests ???
A couple of years ago, I was all into doing covers of songs I always wanted to learn.

The only reason I got back on the VH tone chase was because I managed to get a conversation going with Jim Gaustad for some tone advice.

I'm really into writing riffs, and trying to put together my own tracks these days.
