When Col Mustard was posting about his J Bass ( Don't get rid of it Col!), I mentioned my 78 P I've had since the mid 80s. I got this with the case from one of my close friends. Thank God he is still around and well, living happily in Lake Elsinore, Ca. Any hoo! Here are the shots I promised to post. Sorry about taking so long. This week has been tough on the old Cat. Here goes:

Ya beat me to it. Now that I know what they are called, I'll see if I can find one for my old bass. I already found a repro pick guard.

So glad you posted your sweet P bass, Cat. Like others have said about that nice body color, I like it too. I also have always loved ES 335 style guitars and just like how I always wanted a Walnut colored SG if and when I got my first one, I also like walnut ES's.

Here is an example. I also have to say there is something about that sweet brown color I just like. Simple as that HAHA The same can be said for why I would like your P. Basic Brown wood, nothin beats it.

As for P basses, I sure do love my 2. Glad you have one to play as well.
