I turned 66 a week ago. I've been reflecting on life and some of my friends who are no longer with us.
I feel ya on that, making the music..its so personal..emotional at times...you can hear me cry twice in this last batch. I favor the real heartfelt music people make , it takes you somewhereIt started out very dark in a minor key. I wanted to get across that that death is part of life. We can keep our friends alive in our memories. I changed it to a major key so it wasn’t so dark. There is another verse about my brother who passed away suddenly a year and a half ago. His landlord found him dead on his kitchen floor. I found out when the police knocked on my door. I choke up too much when I try to sing that verse.
