You really should try a super thick pick. Like 4mm+ They're so easy to hold. I have massive hands and didn't realize how much work i was doing to hold onto a Fender medium or anything round that size. Its like trying to grip a needle vs a sharpie. Plus, the high mass means more attack with less work so I play faster and cleaner all around.

Overall for me yes. When playing my 12 string I prefer a light very flexible pick.Obviously, as a group, we tend to love a hard pick.
