Let's See Your Current Pedal Board....

20190320_175646.jpg

Latest, run part through the effects loop.
Guitar into a-b box, one to the tuner, other into the OCD.

OCD sounds great, very consistent, one of the very first when released. Use it for mild to mid o.d.

Into the Friedman, my newest. Use it for high gain. This into my Origin 20h or my JTM45 has scratched the itch to buy a Friedman. It is NOT transparent lol. But the tones, I know I sound like one of the corksniffers, but it'll change your life man. That goes to the amp of the day's front end.

Loop starts with the Boss Chorus, used only for its buffering qualities. Then into the Canyon. It's there because it's versitale, it does so many different things, even sounds like a synth. On to the Fulltone Fat Boost, for a little solo boost if ever needed.

Tldr, and I posted it. Sorry

The BE-OD - is it worth it?

I'm about to pull the trigger on one, but I'm hesitant. I feel like I should just do it.

What say you??

I love it, but of course that's just me.

A couple of thoughts before you jump.

It's NOT transparent, not even a little bit lol. Definitely has it's own tone, I just happen to love that sound. Jacked up Marshall.

It's way more versitale than people give it credit for. It will do o/drive to raging. You will need to monkey with the internal trim pots to set dist- saturation levels. The tight switches are bitchen'
Also keep in mind, the tone controls are very interactive, very.
Midrange is a boost only, all the way down- counterclockwise is normal 12:00 sounding everything after is a boost.
I use the presence as more of a treble and usually have the treble pretty low.

It is a well built, quality piece of gear.
And it sounds KILLER, I do mean it's everything I was looking for.
It is NOT dead silent when it's raging, noise floor is what I'd expect for this much vol. boost. Don't get me wrong, it's not noisy, but it does have that high gain wash.

All this is my opinion only, I'm usually full of s**t, so only take this as one half deaf guys opinion.

If you have been seriously looking, I would recommend. I have zero regrets on dropping the coin, and I'm well past the honeymoon.

Keep me in the loop bro.

? Lol
How do you like to run it? Into a clean channel?

I hear they don't play nice with Mesas.

Haha! It's a legitimate question, actually lol

I love my Marshalls and I know this pedal has some special voodoo when paired with them, but I've been hearing less than stellar things about the BE OD paired with Mesas....as I'm using a Mesa with the band at the moment, I was genuinely curious.

If the black magic the BE OD makes with Marshall is everything I keep hearing about, it has the possibility of replacing the Mesa though

This one is pretty much built around a Source Audio Nemesis.
The Nemesis does doubling, octaves, pitch shifting, phasing on the delays,
reversed 1 octave up delays, digital/analog/tape simulations and much more.
The little switch below the TC mini corona steps through the Nemesis presets.
The Wampler Hot Wired has a low gain side and a higher gain side, stackable.
The TC mini corona has the chorus from Walking on the Moon loaded into it.
The TC mini HoF has the Johnny A. Arizona Sky reverb loaded into it.
The entire thing runs just fine on a daisy chained 1 spot.

The whole thing is small, light, simple and
helps me keep my "in and out in 1 trip" rule

Evolution!
(See post # 95.)
There was room enough to add in a compressor.
I also switched the Hot Wired to an old style one.
The switches are more accessable now.
