Let's See Your Current Pedal Board....

This is about as 'current' as it gets ... just before packing it away last night for band practice and the gig today I switched the DD-20 out for the RE-20 again ... the DD-20 just has too many settings to go wrong, if I tap the wrong thing I could be anywhere!

I don't think a DD-500 will be for me ... I prefer a few different delay pedals rather than one that can be switched around a lot

The three TRS cables are for the PS-6, DM-2W, and MF Ring. The MF Ring has its own dedicated Mood EP-3 expression pedal, while the PS-6 and DM-2W share one Boss EV-30.

Update:
The big board is still the same, for now. My, more portable, bass/guitar board is coming along now...

Little:

The little one needs some cable work, better power supply mounting, a phaser, some signal routing/switching work...but it’s useable as is.

I have only (4) pedals - All Boss - a CS-3, NS-2, DD-3 and GE-7. All were modded by Modest Mike for super quiet operation.

Now, since buying a Blackstar ID-CORE - 2x10 - 100watt solid state amp last month, I haven't even plugged in my Marshalls, just because of how versatile the Blackstar is.

I am planning on tracking some solos with the DSL40C and the Weber attenuator when we get back home so we can hear the difference on a recording...

I go Tuner-Comp-OD-Fuzz-Chorus-12 String Sim-Delay. I do the pedal board tuner since I'm too OCD to clip anything on my head stock. As for the compressor. Don't really have a good answer. When I was using it on my acoustic board I had it kicked in all the time. Just seemed to help. The Bad Monkey is a decent OD. Pretty much all the reviews I read suggested it was close to a Screamer.... and was only 49 bucks. The Fuzz Head. Just because I wanted something Keeley on my board. Turns out, its a really nice pedal. Used to have the Chorus kicked in all the time. Now, not so much. The Mosaic sims a 12 string. Again. Used it more with my acoustic than I do with the electrics. The delay.... well.... doesn't everyone have one of those? The MXR is a really decent analog delay. It's almost always on, regardless what guitar I'm using.

Found out one day if I kick on the Comp, Chorus, Mosaic and Carbon Copy plus some some on board reverb on the amp. Play my hollow body thru the chain. I get an organ kind of sound. Nice sustain. Not B-3 or anything. Just fun.

Don't read too much in how the knobs are set in this shot. Got a 3 year old grand kid that thinks knobs are meant for turning. :)

rather complex---I have multiple power sources and a very high teckie way of getting all this power to the amps...........................
I do OWN 2 other pedals--- they are on other amps-------

When I read "knobs are meant for turning", this song, which I probably have not heard in decades, popped into my head:

Pulling out thoughts from 1979 earlier today must have opened an old bin in my brain.

I am working on an actual pedal board; will post as things things start to errrh,.... coagulate?

This is what I've been running lately. I'm still on the fence about pulling the trigger on an El Capistan. I need a good delay that will also do reverb. A friend says it does great surf drip. I'm also unsure about the Archer. It keeps migrating on and off the board.

Here's the story: After decades of tone-chasing and buying/selling pretty much everything out there, including a whole bunch of "boutique" pedals, I had the realization that none of it really made that much difference. Huge outlays in time and cash for incremental or nonexistent changes in tone. So I decided to simplify, sold all the other pedals and got this easy-to-transport Boss board and a bunch of indestructible Boss pedals (plus the Cry Baby). It's simple, portable, and relatively inexpensive. Plus, in my experience the Boss stuff sounds just as good as anything sitting in a mix, so.

And know what? I have never, ever been happier with a pedalboard setup.

The only thing that really changes is the dirt pedal - I have this Blues Driver, a Boss Distortion and a Boss Fuzz which I switch around depending on what I am playing. The BD is really only used as a clean boost, but the distortion is used for hard rock and the fuzz for more modern stuff, and these are always set pretty low as I get 95% of my grind from the amps. Also, I don't keep any of the channels on my amps clean, I have them set up for 2 different dirty sounds, so with one pedal out front I have 4 levels of crunch/distortion that I can footswitch between.

The rest is probably pretty self-explanatory and in front of the amp its: Wah -> tuner -> phaser set for a swirly almost auto-wha kind of sound, really great for that Judas Priest kind of solo tone -> whichever dirt box I need that day -> amp.

In the loop are: Chorus, which I just use to give tight crunchy sounds some body and shimmer and to help solo tones get out in front of the mix -> Delay, which I use set to the brighter modern mode, and use for "atmospheric" single-note rhythm stuff and wet soloing. I do not like reverb and so don't ever use it, but if I need some moisture in the tone I get it from the delay -> Looper, which of course is for writing/practicing alone.

That's it, all I need right there.
Well done, Looks good and simple. I am a huge BOSS fan, but I do like the Wampler Velvet Fuzz also. Will it fit in those spaces on your board??
