LETS GO!

It got rebuilt by a previous owner around 1988 (not a stock rebuild). I bought it in 1999 and sold is in 2019. It’s a 427 400HP car with 3x2 carbs.

Here’s the cam card and engine.

And…. Bought my 77 in 99. But it’s a lowly L48, stock at like 185hp on a good day. All I’ve done to this point is Edelbrock Performer intake and swapped the Q-jet for a Holley. Currently in the process of changing the single into dual exhaust to true dual exhaust and headers. Not going to make a race car out of it…. But should run a tad better. If nothing else. Should sound better.

Dynoed at 400hp…. Or that’s where it started before it was modded? That sounds like more than 400.
That’s the stock GM Regular Production Order for a factory L68 engine option in 1969. With some upgrades it was north of that factory spec.

That's a well thought out engine to run a 500+ lift.
I used to know a guy that bought a 66 mustang. It had a 600 lift cam and thing did wheelies.

My big cam engine was an atv engine 500cc built a 650cc
I spent a fortune building it.
I did the hole 9 yards myself.
Split the cases. Sent the crank out to be lightened and 4 mil. Stroke.
Bigbore kit had 4" piston.
Cams 488 lift 288 on the intake duration, 41mm ti intake valves.
On a chassis dyno it made 72 hp @10,000 rpm .
My old Ford 61 f100 had a 302 but mostly stock. Headers, 4 barrel.
No classic car for me.
Don O that's a machine as wheel as 440 6 pack challenger.

Bought mine in 1984
Best high school car on school grounds
the engine is 528 cubic inches
The camshaft is done by a friend of mine who has been in the master engine builders competition for 20 years custom grind
Just getting ready to drive it some this year
Kinda upset our local Drag strip Bandimere closed after 50+ Years :(

Convertible , rare. Your car is priceless. I had a chance to buy a 70's challenger before I bought the Mach 1 , 440 but all stock sedan.
I had a 65 mustang in high-school but a few years later I bought a 71 Mach 1.
That was my classic car. Long gone.
