The Amoon LP neck is not a Fat C or chunky neck but it's not slim taper. It's a little thicker than slim taper D neck, more like modern c. I don't like fat necks. This one is in my acceptable range. My hand doesn't hurt after playing it. My preference is slim taper D neck profiles.

no the Amoon is slightly wider at top and narrow at bottom the Squire is the other way round
