less is more

Honestly, for $/£/€ 500ish there is so much choice in amp/cab-modeling multi fx processors that I personally wouldn't risk the ghost of Steve Jobs ruining my practice.

Sounds perfectly alright tho.

I bought a used iPad mini, had the IRig software, pedal, and blue board about 5 years ago. At low level/bedroom level volume its OK. Took it to a band practice and it was unusable. The hiss at idle was like nails on a chalkboard. Still have the pedal and board in a box somewhere if anyone is interested.

For recording, we are switching to amp simulators. I spent a few hours dialing in a tone that I was happy with and saved it.

For live performances, I'm still using my Origin 50 Watt and 2x12 (WGS Reaper 55Hz and Jensen Neodymium Stealth 80watt) with master on 8 and volume reduction by a Boss FV30L in the loop.

This is akin to an electric chainsaw. It's just inherently wrong and should be shunned.
