A guy showed up today at my favorite guitar shop with one of these. he likes the guitar, but he can't stand the automatic tuners, he doesn't know why Gibson ever put those tuners on the guitar. So he was at the shop getting standard Gibson tuners to replace those others. He gave me the guitar to try out, I have to tell you I never seen anything like that its weird, when you strum the guitar the keys move automatic. They just don't move and stop they like flicker. The one in this video is exactly the same guitar he came in with.

I can tell you the guy was not happy with them . So you know I had to do a sales pitch for a beautiful Godin 5th Avenue with a Bixby. I said try this out. He sat down and played it for a half an hour. He said he loved it. When he was leaving heading out , he said I will be back to check up on this guitar.

I LOVED them ROBOTUNERS for a year-- worked great -- and mind you i DO NOT change tunnings-- play out -- or abuse my gear-- the guitar has NOT LEFT MY OFFICE since I bought it in early 2016 -- at all -- not crossed the threshold of the door---- none --
and the tuners well-- QUIT TUNING always tuned "off" -- they would move but it wasnt in tune ---- all I did was change the strings!!!!!!!
they are in the case in the event I sell it --
FYI the SAME -- purchased BRAND NEW Les Paul Jr---- has the clear "seperating" at the upper right headstock "tip" its bubbling and flaking---again-- NEVER dropped-- damaged-- gigged-- abused-- nothing -- no squirrels chewed it -- no dogs peed on it-- no pigs knocked it off a stand the GIRAFFE has never even SEEN IT ---and still clear is separating at the corner............................

GO GO GIBSON QUALITY!!!! ACTIVATE!!!!! -------- (charge BIG $ put out mediocre product increase board member profits---) :2Thumbs:

oh I replaced the pickup to --- with an 18.00 ebay dog ear that sounds 132.8% better than the original "slug" Gibson one -- frankly its sad
and I LIKE the GUITAR---

Now I am totally convinced you’re getting some sort of kick back from Robert Godin! ;)

4 of my 5 Gibsons have Grovers from the factory. One has locking tulips and the other 3 have locking kidneys. The V didn't come with locking tuners, but I had a set so I threw them on. My Classic came with Gibson branded Klusons. Now it has actual Klusons I like them all equally well.

Fancy finishes don't usually get my attention, but I like that - a lot...
