A very touchy subject I have not seen on any forum. How to post cover songs legally on YouTube?

No matter how you cut it, a person has to follow the rules to a T. If I was a U.S citizen , i still wouldn't try it. Not only that rules change, you would have to be on top of everything, at all times.

I'm not good enough a player. They'd never be able to tell I was doing a cover.

I was just trying to figure out how all of these people are getting away with placing these cover videos on youtube?
SoundCloud flagged one of my covers years ago. No one listens but they have an algorithmic machine to find them. Seems like a daunting task. If you pay a small licensing fee you can stream the video seems like a different license.

In the last challenge(s) of Brad's, if you recall I did "Jesse's Girl." Oddly, it was decent enough I think most knew what I was doing. Soundcloud didn't flag it.
