The BEST 39 minutes I have ever seen and heard preserved for future Rush Lovers.
WOW those kids had no idea what they were witnessing would become one of the greatest bands ever in the next 40+ years to follow. I was a wee 10 yr old lad at the time and would not hear of them for another 4 or 5 years.

I think I am linking Alex's playing at 13:14+ as very similar in licks and style here in this clip.

Also, I seems to hear parts of Finding my Way in that tune too.

Some folks already know this was my first Rush Album, Mitch. But WHAT an album to get my introduction to them from.
Then I got Archives which was RUSH, FLy BY Night and Caress in a 3 album set.

My very first Rush album was all the worlds a stage, and I seen them with UFO, in the late 70’s

I took my girlfriend to see Rush in 1976 when I was 16. I had no idea how popular they were at the time because I didn't
love them myself. It was the worst crowd ever waiting for the doors to open! We were getting pushed back and forth in a sea of bodies!
Many times our feet were not even on the ground as we were caught in the shoving back and forth. It's the only time I ever felt
like I might not survive getting in the door! It could have easily been like the Who show in Cincinnati in 79!

On a good note...the show was great and I became a huge fan of the band!

Sp8, it would be another 2-3 years before I would hear of Rush while in middle school at about 1978. Rush 2112,VH1 , and Nugent's Double Live Gonzo were my intro to over the top Rock N Roll
