He wasn't just a singer but a highly successful songwriter for the likes of Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carly Simon. In addition to his hall of fame career, he was also a great actor staring in films such as the Blade series, Fire Down Below, Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia, A Star is Born, Convoy and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
