I have to say I was not impressed with the Katana 50. Someone mentioned sounded sterile and I must agree. To me the mesa boogies are very good amps and have to say my Orange 35RT is an amp that I believe out does the katana.

the 35 RT punches WELL above its weight class for sure!

but mine had to go ---to make room for the Mesa

I think me and Oranges just don't get along. I keep buying them, disliking the sound and then selling them off. I literally just sold my last Orange yesterday. It was a lowly Micro-Dark with the little 8" cab, but I was never able to get a useful sound out of the thing. Same story with all the fruit that came before.

I liked many of the TOnes I got from the ORange 35 Rt--

it was versatile and functional -- but in BACK TO BACK dog fights with the Marshal DSL15c -- it couldnt beat the tube beastie-- which lost out to the MESA --- which just slays all...well -- all that I know-- lol
