Working on getting my gear up to speed for this coming season. Making sure bolts and screws are tight . Making sure all controls are functioning properly , Radio and transmitter gear is in proper working order etc etc. Will take me through until April to complete these tasks, then I will be ready to get airborne!! As many of you know this is my #1 Passion.004.JPGDSCI0249.JPG

These ones are classified in the Giant scale realm. 80" Wingspan, fuselages are running 72" to 68" . For motivation I am using the O.S 1.60 FX Max Engine. 4 HP single cylinder with a Regulating V.P 30 Perry Pump which pumps at .25 P.S.I continuous flow, swinging 18X8 Zoar&Falcon Props. Do I crash often no. I have been flying coming into my 26th year. I am also a Certified Instructor.

Wow!
Cool passion Norm! :dood:
They are Beautiful!

Did you build these..

Do you race or compete with them...

At first glance I didn't really catch it, but they are pretty huge.

Thanks John, Yes I do build them, from covering to paint everything, No I don't compete, because of the travel time involved, as my Wife and I have a trailer where we spend our spring, summers at, I fly at a sanctioned field 20 minute drive from where we camp. I do attend fun fly's in the area where I am. and actually go to quite a few, Its great to get out there with the guys, some you only see once a year, then there are those I see quite often. These Particular planes do everything in aerobatics, Lomcevaks, rolls, inverted flight, hammerheads spins . Same as there big boy counterparts. There is one thing these do the big boys cant do is 3D flying where you stand the plane on its tail.

I'm personally not very mechanical, but do recognize a lot of knowledge goes into this.
26 years and a Certified Instructor is pretty impressive! :dood:

Cheers to a successful 26th year of flying Norm!
