Sam Ash closing 18 stores..

Not even sure where the closet Sam Ash is to me. And I’ve only ever been in one and wasn’t overly impressed.

The legendary Hollywood store is among those being closed. End of an era.
More like the end of the last vestige of an era long past.
Still a milestone though (or a millstone, as the Python boys would have put it...)

That's unfortunate, there was one Riverside, CA.
I used go there regularly.

We still have a few here.
The one that was closest to me closed a few years ago. It was sad to see it go. It was around for a long time.
Now if I want a Sam Ash, it’s a road trip.

Only ever seen them on the East Coast. I went into one in Florida and was surprised that they had a lot of high-end guitars in accessible locations. I played a few $5k+ PRS guitars and wasn't impressed by any of them.

When I still lived in LA the Sam Ash in the South Bay was my go-to store. The one here in San Diego is a sad mess with little stock, so I am pretty certain it must be ine of the ones closing.
