Just purchased something silly

Well ... I've been wanting one of these for a while and I've heard now that they have gone out of production.

Totally not necessary of course and all up costing me $300 even though I getting a considerable discount and the prices are only likely to rise from this point onwards.

Moog Minifooger Ring + EP-3 expression pedal

Note that in the PGS video the expression pedal is the older EP-2, which does not have a separate TRS cable. I bought the EP-3 with a separate 2m TRS cable. The MF Ring I purchased is also the second version, which looks like this:

Weird these are - not sure if I like them or not.

Once you've played it for a bit describe how you use it and how you find the sounds and fun factor.

Sure.

Here's another video. I will no doubt force it to do some monstrously distorted noise

And, of course, everyone knows this would sound nuts with a synth.

According to Australia Post tracking it has arrived at my local post office and is awaiting collection ...

I like toys and love digital toys. I'm sure you will find a good use for this moog ring pedal. Please do put a sound clip up for us.

I thought it was going to be the black and silver V2 but it turns out that it is the all-black V1. Still it is new unused condition and both versions are identical inside, the differences are cosmetic (they clearly realised as they expanded the range that people were having trouble remembering which all black pedal was which on their board, so they added different silver coloured geometric designs for each pedal - I have no plans to buy others in the Minifooger range so I'm fine with it). I'll start a new thread with photos

Got some amazing synth sounds out of this pedal today on my clean channel (combining it with an MXR EVH Phase 90, EQD Ghost Echo, Boss MO-2, MXR Carbon Copy, and Boss RE-20).
