Just Dropped In

I've been trying to come up with a version of this song I can do as a solo act. I recorded this in one take with an Apogee Mic+ into my Macbook and Garage Band. I was playing a Godin A12 with an LR Baggs Venue DI, Boss CH-1 chorus, and a TC Electronic HOF reverb. I was singing into an Apex 381 microphone. The mixer was a Behringer Xenyx 1202 into an old Fender Powerstage 100 active monitor. I don't really like the Kenny Rogers version of the song. I prefer the original by the songwriter Mickey Newbury. My version is loosely based on Mickey's version. I need to work on the vocals a bit more. I move around too much and sometimes get too far from the mic.
