SG John, What are those shiny things where the pickups normally are?
I really like the look of the covers on pickups on a Les Paul. Very, very classy IMHO.SG John, What are those shiny things where the pickups normally are?

I like em too, BUT my 1st LP had naked T Tops. My Epi LP began with Covered Epi Buckers, and morphed into having naked T Tops too.I really like the look of the covers on pickups on a Les Paul. Very, very classy IMHO.

I don't think any of my guitars have any uncovered pickups. The guitars that did have uncovered Shaws and DiMarzios have had their pickups replaced years ago.My favorite guitar that I have that does have covers. My 76 SG STD

Fantastic sir! I’m thinking that one of those(pictured) allowed me to pry that SG, that currently sits beside me, from you!Okay, here it is - first time I have ever had them all out of their cases at the same time (and likely the last):

Great collection!
Spose I should have posted mine here.
I see a Keystone style tuner fan. Me too.
Wow that is a lot of add ons! It's the only guitar I have bought in my life based solely on the finish. I got lucky though - it plays and sounds as good as it looks.
They all have some mods: I put speed knobs on every guitar. If it comes with an ABR I replace it with a brass Nashville. If it comes with a plastic jack plate it gets metal one. If it comes with Deluxe tuners it gets a set of Kluson Repvolutions. They all get the longer steel tailpiece studs. And if it came without pickup covers I added them. Some have aluminum tailpieces and some not - I have found that they don't work on every guitar. And obviously the Goldtop got a whole new set of plastics, including brown back covers.
Oh, and if you are wondering, that Cherry Sunburst Trad is just about the best guitar I have ever laid hands on.

Metal jackplates... the old 73 GT has one, it must have broken. That's a cool idea. Covers, for me? 50/50. I like the look of bare coils.
