Funny story about how I got my first SG, speaking of Les Pauls.
I still remember being at my dad's house back in 2012. It happened quite by accident. I was actually hunting a Les Paul when I lost the bidding on a Green BFG at right around $600 or $800 on ebay. I forget my bid threshold back then.
That is when my next opportunity presented itself.
I must have scrolled or searched SG's and came across one that essentially went off without any glitches for me to buy it for less than the $600-$800 price of the BFG, and it came with a pink lined, brown Gibson case and free shipping to boot.
So, instead of a BFG I wound up with my surprise. The all go and no show, Black 1989, 3 knob Special complete with original pots and Bill Lawrence circuit board pups, no scratch-plate, maple unbound neck.
