It's been quite a few years since I've been in a band but I hooked up with an old friend I've known for about 30 years. His name is Mark and he got me into a band called "The Rock Houndz". I will be the second guitarist in the band. They are a great group of fellows and our first gig is in November of this year at a private party.

Band practice is usually every Wednesday in the city of Whitby...the home of @ninjaking67.:) There is a song list of over 45 tunes and we are practicing the songs that we can play well so people can dance to it. The music is from the Eagles, Neil Young, Billy Joel, Billy Idol, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. It's a varied mix.

My gear includes my Fender Twin Reverb amplifier along with my modded BOSS DS-1 Distortion pedal and my DigiTech Bad Monkey Overdrive pedal which offer a great combination of different distortions. I will be using my Godin Belmont guitar as my main axe and I'm looking forward to playing in front of people.

The other guitarist (Mike) who started "The Rock Houndz" band picks me up for practice. He is the chief building inspector for the city of Oshawa where I live so he is very well-established. He just has a couple of years before retirement and wants to make music his priority.

Here are some older videos of "The Rock Houndz". Only 2 members are original...the guitarist Mike who plays a Stratocaster and my friend Mark who is on bass guitar.

And here's me friend Mark singing in this tune.

^ well, not totally off or he'll have to gender re-identify; certainly rock them really hard though (when I say rock them hard, I don't mean... - I best stop now...).

Thanks me friend.:) The Godin Belmont fits the bill with this band. I also brought my Fender Strat to practice one time but it turned out to be a fail. It was picking up radio signals and it just wasn't working. The singer in the band told me he didn't like that guitar and to use my Godin. He really liked it. My poor old Fender is now restricted to home use only.

Band practice went well last night...it was very intense & regimented. I must say once we get all practised up we'll be rockin' in the free-world.:dood: Mike the guitarist bought me a boost pedal for guitar solos, etc. That was mighty nice of him. It was a value of $80. He also bought me an adapter to power up to 5 pedals. Now I don't have to worry about batteries. Now my pedals include my BOSS Distortion DS-1, DigiTech Bad Monkey Overdrive, Chaser Delay, Arion Fat Chorus, & TC Electronics boost pedal. I'm really glad I have the boost pedal because it sure makes a difference. I didn't realize how important a boost pedal really is.
