The first time I saw JLH was in 1980 with Muddy Waters and Jimmy Rogers what a show I had to leave at 4:30AM they were still jamming Steve Miller sang two hours
with them I think it changed me for life. They played 1 4 5's all night never the same way twice what Blues Masters.
I was friends with Robert Cray's girl friend Robert and I would play this game play something on guitar you have never played before I wrote the lick on Smoking Gun
and a few others on his first LP or CD I moved to Alaska in 1983 that was the end of that. I met Albert King in 1988 I ran sound for his two shows I tried to get Albert
to come to Alaska to go fishing we both loved fishing that's what we talked about but Albert said he would not get on a plane. Out of all the Blues players Albert was my favorite. I started collecting Gibson Flying Vee guitars after that. The notes Albert would get out of his guitar sent shivers up my spine
