Why you think the went to smaller necks???
Popular request. I think everyone wanted faster necks and they were just responding to the market.
Why you think the went to smaller necks???
Actually, I'd take a good Lester over just about anything too. CheersTo that end, a 1959 Les Paul would do everything I enjoy doing, although they would need copper shielding today to be EFI/RFI resistant...
Why so much hype over the '59?
Do you want to know why there is so much hype over a '59 LesPaul guitar? That's because they are very rare compared to other LP's made in different years. I believe that only 1,600 '59 burst Les Paul guitars were ever made so they are very hard to find making them more appealing.

Well, aren't you the lucky boy? '57's have the biggest neck ever and humbuckers:

Just a CS 57 reissue with a changed bridge. I just dig the picture.
?? Looks exactly the same as all of my Gibson/TKL cases. What are you seeing?
Yeah, but even fewer 1960 ones were made, yet everyone fixates on the '59's.
None of mine are perfectly spaced. They look just like the one in the picture. Guess you got lucky!
I'd never really payed attention to the stitching on mine, but this prompted me to have a look. At first glance the stitches look evenly spaced, looking around the headstock area, but then looking around the handle area I see they appear smaller. Same on the rear of the case near the latch. So, outside type curves & straight areas have the larger stitches, inside type curves is where the smaller stitches are on mine. CheersI have a new Gibson case with my 2016 Les Paul Studio. The stitches are very evenly spaced. In that photo, it looks like some big variations in the width of the stitches....???
The 57 neck are baseball bats. I check out a reissue and it had a big neck that would kill my hand in one hour.
Even Bucket Head thinks John 5 is a strange agent. His signature is a Square painted silver sparkle and he plays one of them. What kind of name is 5 ? Italian, it ain't Catholic and a Cindy 69 was really Katherine O'Ryan. It never got the 69 till she was sent off to a Lock Jaw Colony off the Mexican coast. She near drowns during bad storms. She always looks shocked.
