Same here. But I prefer Warren's singing.
And yet again, a guy known for playing Strats sounds better on a Les Paul. Happens every. Single. Time.

I really dug Glen Tipton's tone on Sin after Sin that Les Paul rocked! Fast Eddie Clark Motorhead also played a mean Les Paul too!

I kid because I love. All those guys actually rocked STRATS! Bwahahaha! At least on albums mentioned. I love me some Les Paul players many are my faves, but personally I can't play em.

Totally agree. Like comparing apples and rutabagas. Where Warren has had a ton of experience being the consummate sideman playing in larger bands, Joe has worked in mainly his own band where he gets to be the "Bandleader." Two totally different types of experience and players.
God bless Warren, but i heard nothing exciting in his work.
