Sorry jtcnj. I have to admit growing up i hated Teles and Strats. My Father worked at the local sawmill and had a little country and western band that played weekends at the Elks,Eagles,local beer joints. Ive seen my share of real 53 Teles and 60s Strats.I wanted a Gibson SG or Les Paul lol. Now at 60 Teles and Strats are my favorite guitars to play.never in a million years could i amagine myself saying this. I got 2 of each.

I even got to hold a real Fender Broadcaster my Dads music buddy had. bought at a local music store. it looked like a snake shedding its skin lol. The Fender tweed amp with it had a million cigarette burns in it. Dude used to get drunk after playin and just leave it layin up againt the wall where ever the last place they played. He would have to go get it the next day hahahaha.His window sold it for major money.it had a serial # like 000301.

I got guitars with humbuckers i love also.I hope to get a Tele with a Humbucker which i curently dont have. I blame Adrian for the white Strat puchase .

Yes i do love my Strat. Very much so. Its a Mexican made Jimi Strat. same alder body as most of the American made ones. With stock 65 Fender grey bottom pups. American vintage hardware too.

My Father also had a 53 Tele 67Plexi . Heres a pic from 1976 of my Dad and his Band playing outdoors on a flatbed trailer on 4th of July at our local Bar. I do believe hes playing a 1963 White/Blonde Tele

Im not sure if my Dad was inspired by Lennon or not but heres the 53 Tele with the factory finish sanded off. You got to remember they were just old guitars then .

My Dad played nothin but Fender Twin Reverbs. I had to pack them things to the car when i was a young kid when he went to play music.Things weighed a ton.
