JCM 800 Micro 1W build

The controls are one label and the amp name is another. Or, they are arranged on the paper sheet and then cut out with scissors.
On the gold it doesnt show much but on the cream background you can see the shadow of the clear part of the decal.

I used trial and error to place the label objects.
Printing pdfs full scale (EDIT: select "actual size" from pdf print que), placing that either over the uninstalled faceplate, or folding them along the centerline of the holes and holding it against the pot shafts on the second go since they were assembled.
Then, marking the pdf to correct the locations and update in Autocad.

The thing is the waterslide decals swell a bit once put in the water.
I have it close at between .975 and .985 of full scale.

I found some templates on the Modulus website a few years ago and copied them into Autocad.

The paper is laser waterslide decal paper on a plain old laser printer.

I would prefer one decal but the paper I have is letter size.
I could have done it with 11x17 paper.

I used to reverse image screen print on lexan (14 colors) for QMS printer face plate decals for this unit

screen print on lexan? i thought that was a Beatles song.

nope we made all sorts of great prints --
even fine art hand pulled serigraphs
these were NOT laser printed -- each color was hand cut with film -- and laid 1 color at a time -- usually 12-14 colors per print all hand registered

we produced all the C.L. Cunningham Mardi Gras prints for the City and several of our own after she retired.

actually an ancient Chinese based and rare art that is all but died out -- few still know HOW to do this the "old school" way (no computers involved)

I personally printed the above print along with the shop owner and artist.
FYI all the inks where HAND MIXED from primary base colors and matched visually (no computers) to the Artists original ....took HOURS!
