Thinking that I am going to convert the Jackson to Yellow Guitar #2.

So now I am thinking.....

Get the Warmoth body shown above...have them make me an 1-3/4" wide R5 nut neck, strip the Jackson down and use the pickguard and all the hardware/electronics and sell the hulk to recover some of the investment...
 
Look closely and you may see the thin, red stripe on the Jackson's custom pickguard...

The more I think about this, the more tempted I am to put the CBS headstock, custom Warmoth 1-3/4" neck on the Jackson, even without the locking nut.

It would fare no worse than the stock Fender tremolo and has the benefit of fine tuners...
