I've Been Doing Adrian's Favorite Thing for Hours!

LOL Sysco, I am trying to remember. It has been like 2 years since I discovered it was inop.

I think the red light comes on, I kick the switch and nothing changes cept maybe the light goes out.

I either posted a thread or some advice PM's to Ivan and or DonP and a few other fellas in here I can look for and get back at ya.

Have you opened it up? Broken wires, bad switch, failed component?

Well done guys, I do love a good thread derail & degeneration (anarchy) & this one is right up there with the best of them. Glad your ok after the bacon episode Chilli. The switch on the TS9 (IIRC) controls a couple of transistors set up as flip/flops to do the actual switching on the circuit input & output. Buffers are always "in circuit" so no true bypass. The switch is a common failure & replacements can be had from smallbear electronics, though it's also possible for a flip/flop to fail, though less common. I'll have a look at the TS schematic later this arvo (to make sure I've got it right) & give you a yell Chilli.
Nice choice of pedal build Sp8ctre. I'm liking my BYOC 5 knob more & more as I (slowly) get the hang of setting controls. It replaced my TS9 clone as an "always on with Strat" pedal, though not really set to compress, more to add a little sustain, thicken & hit the front end of the amp a bit harder. I've been using it set to compress a little with a Les Paul for (ZZ Top's) "Tush" & used it Friday night (again set to compress a bit) with my 5 string open G tuned tele for a rendition of the stones "Gimme Shelter" which seemed to go over well, so I'm guessing sounded ok. Look forward to more postings of your build. Cheers
