Most members here have been members of other gear forums.
Perhaps the behavioral suggestions should be addressing the source of the personal attacks and not the recipients.
If the recent influx of members has caused some sort of perceived "imbalance in the force", just wait till VS implements their new policies across the other forums they recently acquired.

That's mostly true, with the exception that @BlackSG91 got the ball rolling when he first referred to @Vinsanitizer as being an "Attention Whore" in his attempt to prolong and continue his war of words with Vin outside of The Marshall Forum and insert the battle in threads here at TTR.

OMG! I seriously doubt it that @WavMixer would ever consider selling TTR.
Bottom line:
You got banned for a week at MF, bitched about it here at TTR, and now TTR has suddenly been inundated with many new and interesting members who have joined TTR.

There was a bit of a dust-up back around that time on MF, involving quite a few people. I don’t remember how it started or who all was involved, but it became almost a turf war where groups of people were going after each other. Somehow I managed to stay neutral and not get involved, it was pretty crazy.

I wasn't inferring any such thing.
My point was there may be many new members from numerous other gear sites that were purchased along with MF by VerticalScope.
I get the sense that you'll be equally thrilled when TGP members start spilling in.
This whole situation seems to have bound your britches a bit.
Perhaps I'm misinterpreting an underlying negativity about it, but you keep bringing it up.
If you wish to focus blame on me, so be it - I have no feelings left to hurt.

He’s only just made it back on here, after a hiatus…we will see how this shakes out.
As most “long time” members here know, we are not used to the shenanigans that were on display last night.
(Our shenanigans are cheeky, and fun…)
The two egregious offenders are long time members here(Black had a break for a bit), and don’t usually engage in such “grudgery”(yep…I made that word up). Moderation has been otherwise rarely necessary, and last night was a shameful display IMO.
There was talk, there were understandings…they were not entirely ignored, but not entirely respected. This disrespect, like it or not, (I feel) ended up hitting not only @Vinsanitizer , but me. Both of them… longtime members here…were warned by me, and took their time winding their perceived fury down(as I found out during my morning coffee).
I am disappointed in this.
It should not have been.
We value our peace. We value our members(new and old). We do not like feuding over what should, to most rational humans, be buried in the dusty past, and old forums from which they rose.
Leave them there. If they grow from the ashes, they will be weeded out.
We rarely have had to lock threads, never mind remove them from public view…last night there were more vile posts removed than there have been in years strung together.
That is unacceptable.
I am sorry to those that bore witness, and were made to feel uncomfortable by it.
My patience for it is spent.
Make music. Discuss music.
Leave the politics and religion somewhere else.
No further attacks.
