I've been banned from the Marshall Forum...

One of the real irony's was when I finally had it over there I sent Cross a PM saying goodbye and why I was leaving. He said he was just about to offer me a mod account. I told him thanks but even if I wasn't leaving I would have had to turn him down. Just didn't have the time with everything going on in my life. Strange days indeed.

I have to say, this place already feels like home- I don't know anyone of you personally, but just seeing the familiar profile pics reminds me that there are real people behind them- some with whom I have had many discussions, or just a bit of talk over the years.
I think it is really cool that what made those forums great- the community, the people behind it- will continue- just in another place.

Twas the intention when @WavMixer and his two partners formed TTR. Family.... Home..... it's why the "mission statement" says no politics or religion posts. Just too easy to get nasty threads going. Over the years we have on occasion had a few people join that just couldn't or wouldn't play nice. Lets just say, they are no longer here. So we're hoping your feeling of "home" continues as you get to know more of us.

I agree. It is hard enough to avoid nasty fights when talking about these topics with family members. When people from all over the world, from very different environments come together, it's understandable that their views will not align. Kind of the core statement of my previous post, I don't know any of you personally. But I know we all share some common passion for music and that's what this forum is for.

Yes. We do talk about gear. We also talk about our pets, food and rum and several other topics that have nothing to do directly with music gear.

With that in mind. We have a dog. She’s pretty cool. Fish tacos on the menu tonight as well as an adult beverage that contains rum.
 
Oh. And we seem to have a short attention span. Inevitably, someone’s going to run the thread off the rails. I think the record for derailing a thread was the 2nd post… by the OP. :pound-hand:
