Dang, someone mentioned P90's. This just had me thinking about a lovechild of Grant's guitar and a BFG.

Bet one like LesG would be great with e P90 in the Neck and a HB in the Bridge like a BFG Lester does.

The pickups are Seymour Duncan P-Rails I can split it to a single rail for a Tele tone, use the other 1/2 of the pickup for a P90 tone or run both sides as a humbucker.


I took the day off today to check my car out, but I did go Rockler to check into color options. Everyone there, both customers and employees were praising how beautiful the guitar is. Seems that the double spalting (where the black lines are double lines) is very desirable and everyone wanted to know where the wood came from. Now for me it's outside to check on my car.

BTW, I did pickup a can of stain and tung oil so on my vacation next week I'll have a project to work on.

I had a chance to add some color today Colonial Maple Gel Stain. Please excuse the crappy cellphone pic.

Once the tung oil has a few coats the grain and carved top will really POP!

.........I should have my Ian Anderson Custom by then...that dude is slow as Fvk but he builds a fantastic guitar. He built a guitar for Walter Becker of Steely Dan fame...
