It's all so boring over at the Marshall Forum...

It’s a JTM45. First year reissue, in ‘89. I bought it new. Still have it after 30 years. It’s one real fine sounding amp. Especially out of that ‘70 8x10 that it’s sitting on. Not that I’ve ever found a speaker that it did not sound great with.

That 8x10 is likely a 2034, which i gigged with for over 15 years!!!!!!

My speaker is a model 1990, which is a '70 with eight 10 watt Celestions. It's only rated for 80 watts. A couple of years later, the 2034 came out with a bit more robust speakers to handle the new more powerful heads. Mine was intended for nothing more powerful than a JTM or early "small box" 50 watt JMP. When they changed, the width of the cabinet also increased. For mine, only the JTM fits. None of my JMPs fit. They are all too wide.
