It Really IS All About Me!

So, I have a bit of a conundrum. This whole employment thing has given me disposable cash again. I'm trying to decide between an Orange OR15H, Orange PPC412 straight cab or an electronic drum set. I only want the drum set for simple recording purposes. I have no desire to be a drummer. It would be useful, but it doesn't excite me. The other two excite me. I currently have all Marshall flavored amps. It might be nice to add a different sound and I don't have anything in the 15 watt range. I could really use another 412 bottom cab though. I have two slant cabs that could pair up with it nicely. One with Vintage 30s and the other with G75Ts. Then I could do stereo with two full stacks! Any thoughts? I'm sure eventually I will do all three anyway.

Drum software?

The good quality E-Kits aren't cheap.

I use the Hotone Binary Amp sim pedal as my main rig now. The Orange models are my fav of the bunch. Something magical happens in the midrange that I just love with mid output pickups. I keep the preamp gain around 3 and the volume around 8. When I punch it with a RAT set as a clean boost it nails the perfect dark chocolate tone that cleans up so well with the guitar volume pot.

It's such a great match for the La Perronita Tele since it has no tone pot and runs wide open. These TV Jones filtertrons are exceptional as well.

Yep, pretty much like bongo squares. I used to have the Mk II model. these are really fun, but they have to be connected by USB to a computer in order to use it. I had many sample packs as well, but I found that I always ended up using EZDrummer instead so I passed mine along to a friend a few years back.

If you want an awesome groove box that runs on batteries and doesn't need a PC then the Novation Circuit Tracks is what you need. I have the original Circuit (non-Tracks version) and it's so much fun. There is no menu to dive into, just buttons and knobs. The no-GUI interface is the best I've used in a digital synth before. Plus it sounds grrrrreaat.

Can I plug one of those things into my laptop and use it to control Easy Drummer?
