I am very pleased to announce that my Epi Airscreamer is going to be displayed in the RV/ MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart IN.

It will be displayed next to two vintage Airstream units they currently have. I researching this guitar, I found that it was made in June of 04 and was the 15th piece off the line that month. It is also ironic that this guitar was also sold by a shop in Victoria Australia to someone named "John" in the US. So it has made a bit of a trip. I found and bought it in a shop on consignment in Elkhart IN. The Airscreamer, by the way, was made as a tribute/ signaure guitar for a band called "The Trailer Park Troubadours". (Some of their stuff is still on Youtube.)

Now as Paul Harvey would say... "... and now, the rest of the story." I have worked in the RV industry for over 40 years and in that time I have had the good fortune of working for 3 of the 4 independent agencies that a code inspector could work for. (A 3rd party agency inspection staff, the trade association inspection team, a Canadian certification group or a US State program.) I have worked for the 3rd party agency TR Arnold & Assoc., the trade association RVIA and am currently (part time) working for a Canadian certification group doing inspections. I can think of 3 or 4 people in North America that have worked for 2 out of 4 but no one that has worked for 3 or more... except me. I am very proud!

If I get more pix of it when they get it on display, I will try to get them posted....

I confess I didn't understand much of what you wrote about the RV side of your life,
but we all have our spheres of endeavor... ANYWAY, CONGRATULATIONS!

That seems to be a quite unique Epiphone. I've never seen one. Give 'em hell...

Awesome story. Great to have such an unusual guitar of yours on display to the public.

A local music shop here in Perth, Western Australia had one for sale for quite a number of years. Pretty sure they still had it when the store closed its doors a couple of years ago...I guess that means at least two of them made it to Oz?

Maybe they took it on a road trip after they shut down?:pound-hand:

Well Done Six!!!! very cool guitar very cool ongoing story!! :)

Keep us posted and pic'd

Thanks to all and I will try to do that. I am going up Monday to talk to them and iron out some details so I'll keep everyone posted. :celebrate:

Stopped into the RV/ MH Hall of Fame today and took the Airscreamer in. We signed the papers and agreements and all. Told a little more of the story behind it and they were all over themselves. have an initial pic but can't post it till tomorrow. There will be more pix coming once the display is completed. I'm not sure how long it will be.....

I'll have more input coming. Stay tuned! :yesway:

This particular pic was taken when I first stopped down there a few weeks ago, but it will most likely be the photo associating me with the guitar and the Hall of Fame. I am standing in front of one of the two vintage Airstreams they have on display. Both have been restored and in prefect condition.

As I understand it, the Screamer will be displayed in an enclosed case similar to the one just to the left in the photo along with a write up I did showing the history of the guitar and a little of my history in the industry. I look forward to seeing the finished display and will try to get some pix when done.

An interesting side story is when I was there dropping it off, one of the people that worked there said they should get a video of me playing the guitar in the Hall with the Airstreams. I told them we could... but without an amp and other related equipment, the video wouldn't turn out very well. So it is something we may work out for the future. Giving it a little thought on the way home, I figured a tune I'd have to do is "On The Road Again"... LOL
