Is a hotdog technically a sandwich??

Not sure, but I had 1 1/3 cold left over hotdogs for breakfest this morning, without any bun etc. Working on my wildebeest (it's making a funny noise and doesn't feel good). I think I found the issue though. Muffler mount came free from the frame and aloud the muffler to move just enough that it's scrapping on the driveshaft. Some how truck, the swamp, and cold hotdogs for breakfast just seem to fit. Had to throw in a rant to the Ferengi via email too. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but...

Hmmmm....

During the Middle Ages in Europe, thick slabs of coarse bread were used as plates. After a meal, the food-soaked bread "plate" was fed to a dog or to beggars, often stacked and cut in a sandwich-like fashion.

The first written usage of the English word appeared in Edward Gibbon's journal, in longhand, referring to "bits of cold meat" as a "Sandwich."

It was named after John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, an eighteenth-century English aristocrat. It is said that he ordered his valet to bring him meat tucked between two pieces of bread, and others began to order "the same as Sandwich!"

It is commonly said that Lord Sandwich was fond of this form of food because it allowed him to continue playing cards, particularly cribbage, while eating, without using a fork, and without getting his cards greasy from eating meat with his bare hands.
