All you nice folks in the path of these crazy hurricanes, please do take all the proper cautions needed. Catagory 5 with 185 MPH winds is nothing to take lightly. There is one headed out towards Mexico as well besides Jose trailing Irma.
 
I needed a vacation......I was thinking of a more relaxing one though--- rebuilding my house really wasnt on the list.
 
I've been through two big ones and I feel for you all and hope it dies down or goes out to see.

My 1st was Fredrick in 1979 and it tore Biloxi, MS up! Then my house in Panama City, FL got half the roof (shingles only) blown off in 2004 by Ivan.

Board up your windows if you're in the path, but let's just hope you're not!
 
My brother is in Jupiter FL, which is in the path. He won't drive up to PA. He won't go to a shelter. He says he has to stay for his cats and his diabetes meds (refrigerated). He's nuts and I'm worried. He will not leave.
 
If it becomes a mandatory evacuation, or even if not, maybe the local sheriff's could check in on him if you called and let them know what's going on? They might be able to assure him and help him get out safely?

There gets to be a point where even first-responders can't respond because conditions are too severe.

Unfortunately, if he waits too long, his life is in his own hands.
 
That is a bad situation Chubbles.......hard to get folks to "go"......Hope he will listen to reason. Jupiter is going to take a punch for sure if his meds have to be refrigerated they CANT be with no power for weeks.....

How are you doing Frank? You guys got some serious water damage/floods/ etc. This is a messed up situation for many people to have to go through. I hope it did not do too much damage in your area Frank. No one should have to go through this crap. It seems if not the climate the geo conditions can suck also. We get fires and earthquakes over here. I can't wait for this hurricane stuff to settle down.

I hope you are ready for this little sprinkle coming your way Adrian. This really sucks what is happening to everyone back in the southeast right now. I agree with Chubbles bro leaving with his kitties and meds.
