Interesting Korean Made Oldstock...

...I think.

I reckon these guitars are NOS from the same factory that make the Agiles, PRS SE, Chapman, Schector, Fernandez, etc. Or maybe some B-stock/returns? The shop doesn't have a showroom and is in Incheon, just next to the famous Korean guitar factory...

It's not that easy to find the exact spec because some are a few years old, but here are some with ideas:

These are all US $350:

스쿨뮤직 - [은성3차땡처리] Fernandes Monterey 243

Mahogany with maple cap, gotoh bridge, grover locking tuners and seymour duncan pickups.

Same spec as above.

Also this is the same, but missing the TRC, nice colour:

스쿨뮤직 - [은성3차땡처리] Fernandes Ravelle Seymour Duncan / 페르난데스 라벨리 362

650_315.jpg

스쿨뮤직 - [은성3차땡처리] Fernandes Vertigo Shin SAMURAI-2 / 페르난데스 버티고 253

Similar spec.

Similar spec, but with the sustaniac system.

Here's something interesting at under $210:

스쿨뮤직 - [은성3차땡처리] Schecter Stealth B2 FR Gloss black 135

Not sure, but could be grovers , floyd rose, EMGs - not bad for the price...

Another Japanese looking thing with Seymour Duncans and locking tuners for $350:

스쿨뮤직 - [은성3차땡처리] Fernandes Ravelle Shin Demon / 페르난데스 라벨리 121

$175 for this Schector string thru V:

Some of you may remember this strange Epi that I pointed out on the other place, $280 (or you can buy it on reverb for double that price - same guitar...). It's certainly unusual, a few scratches, is it an Epi Elitist MIK?

650_944.jpg

Epiphone Les Paul Standard 3-Single PU / Limited Edition 7900

Epiphone Les Paul Standard 3 Single PU Pickup Limited Edition Electric Guitar LP

I don't know why, but I've nearly bought that guitar several times...

I spotted my old PRS SE that they took back even though it had a few scratches on the scratchplate - would it be rude to buy it again $85 cheaper... :D

Just thought some of you fellas might find some of this stuff interesting.

&, for folks with plenty of money:

Gibson 1959 ES 335 Dot Reissue /Historic Collection(HS35P9EBNH1)/ 5543

US$5,300 - not as good value as some of the others...

The Fernandez seem to be a baritone version and this one:

CNT35623.jpg

  • Carved 5A Canadian maple top
  • Mahogany body and neck
  • Split trapezoid pearl inlays
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Seymour Duncan Jazz humbucker (neck)
  • Seymour Duncan JB humbucker (bridge)
  • Grover tuners
Fernandes Ravelle Deluxe Electric Guitar

They seem to be well received and probably decent value for money at $350 (probably retailed around $600ish in the US?); I may get rid of one of the SGs and replace it with one of these...

I don't think it's an Elitist. Wrong headstock shape and 3-screw TRC instead of 2. And I think all of them were made in Japan, no?
My guess is NOS from before they sent all of the production to China. That thing is really cool - you should snap it up for that price if you can.

Yeah, it's not an Elitist; I can't even find it on an Epi site - maybe a short Korean factory run? I keep nearly ordering it, but then see the Seymour Duncan loaded Fernandez for only $50 more and buying the Epi seems silly. I suspect the Epi probably plays and sounds somewhere between bad and strange, but I can't try it out first to see.
