Inspired by Wav I need a looper! Which one?

I ordered up the NUX because it has a drum machine to help me with timing and pacing, etc, and also a battery which I prefer to use.

Rather ambitiously, I'm gonna set a loop the simple melody from Wav-inspired Funkadelic Maggot Brain then I'm goona just play around and screech some solo type stuff. I played it to the wife and asked her how long she thought it'd take be to play like that - she just laughed and said "forever". Nonetheless, I will leave the new little geetar on the stand, get some recreational drugs and get my funk on!

Grump--- I went with the Mooer (again) gonna read the 'structions this time---

We can compair notes--- :) had I been able to find the NUX for the same $ I might woulda gone with it-- more lights and knobs and things--- but then
I am attracted to those --- though in function I typically hate them.

She said that? You could respond by playing Extreme's 'Get The Funk Out.'

Aren't recreational drugs prohibited in your locale?

^ yes, I will learn to use my looper. I will practice. I will improve. I will become a guitar God and have beautiful 30 year old and 40 year old women screaming with teenage lust when they see me...

And then you woke up Grumpy!:D

My Boss delay has a looper built in. I’ve tried a few times but just haven’t got the timing right both starting and stopping it such that the loop has an unnatural timing. How do guys get that done right?

Lets say you are going to strum a D chord 4 beats, get your foot ready to hit the switch, You have to hit the switch at the same time you strum, do four beats tap the switch to stop. Do the same thing when you switch to another chord. The trick is make sure you hit the switch off only after you complete that fourth strum. Timing is the key. Once you practice this for a while you will get the hang of it perseverance is the key.

and then you woke up Grumpy!

I hope not to... :D

That's why I want a drum machine too, so, at least in theory, it should be much easier to set your loop up.

I have a Digitech JamMan Looper/Phraser that I don't use as often as I should.

Every now and then when I'm determined to work on writing, I'll break it out.

I used to have the Boss RC-1 and didn't find it to be that useful, so I sold it.

Our bassist has the Digitech JamMan Solo XT which seems to be really useful, has a lot of memory and you can record movie samples etc and play those through it.

With the Digitech, you can also swap flash cards and expand the memory. I think mine has a 32 gig card in it.

I have a cheapy Ammoon looper. It works, like others I think it would be a great tool.
I have the Trio Band Creator but again, and same as the looper have not spent much time with it.

I am still trying to get my overall skills level up and keep things simple but I really need to learn to follow a beat and have not had much success in playing along to recordings.

Seems the things I can play pretty well I get frazzled trying to split my focus to follow the record and actually play the instrument at the same time.
this is why I only chew gum in a seated position.
