Just wiping it down with an appropriate thinner to make sure it is clean. They come finish sanded ready to spray. My bass neck is well over a year old with no issues and my strat neck is approaching 2.

Absolutely. Just make sure you spray and let it dry outside. It really stinks!

The vintage amber nitro (applied by Warmoth) adds $110.00 to the price of the neck.

And that's most of the reason I do it myself for $15. Plus you get it much quicker and you get to control the thickness.
