Yes, we got to go on board. When it's not at a drydock having maintenance done, it's always open to the public at the Charlestown Naval Yard.I used to build ship models when I was like to 5 up to about 12, I won an award for my Old Ironsides Model, aka the USS Constitution.
Did they allow you on it?, I think they were doing a refurbish of her back then, They may have had it ready for the 200 year. That would have been cool to see the cannons below deck on the sides, not to mention all the rigging for the sails. Her sides were so thick that cannon balls literally bounced off of the sides. Hence the nickname.

While we have Fender and Gibson, the Poles make some fine guitars with Mayones.
