"allo Black! Good to see you... I never figured out why you disappeared from ETSG, but I'm very happy to see your
ol' rusty battle tank and hear your commentary like before. Lucky me, I have several fave guitars that I play, so you'll have
to bear with me while I make up my mind: Here's three o'me beauties...

Martin XC1T 2006, Mossman "Flint Hills' dred 1975, and my trusty old Fender J-Bass 1966.
Played through that little Roland Cube bass amp, my Bass has never sounded so good as now. Lotta tones in
that little monster, and an XLR out, so plug it in like a mic and send the signal to the mains, and it sounds HUGE.
Then after the show, I pick it up in one hand and carry it out easily, with my bass in the other. Hard to beat.
The one yer talking' about is certainly Luna: the Queen of my music room, and the keeper of my .011 gauge
heart strings. Here she is, gripped in my loving hands and purring like an ol' kitty cat.

My most recent GAS was for an Epiphone Casino Coupe... and I manfully resisted for a good long time
till one day I was idly loitering about in GC when a Salesman came and axed me if I needed assistance finding
anything. I mumbled that I was interested in the Epi Casino Coupe, and he didn't know what I was talking
about. He spoke patronizingly to me like I was some old coot doddering around in the wrong store, looking for
a cab to take me to the Casino to get scalped.
I patiently explained to him that the Casino Coupe was a very modern and downsized version of a very famous
Classic Epiphone hollow body guitar with P-90 pickups... He pointed vaguely southwest and said there were some
Epiphones and hollow bodies over there someplace. So I went, glad to turn my back on him.. I found that his store did not
stock the Casino Coupe, but they did have the Epiphone ES-339 P-90 pro... and there was one hanging on the wall
within the reach of my greasy paws. I took it down, tuned it, and fell arse over teakettle for a guitar again.
I'm just a guitar slut... can you tell? I'm greasy and easy and maybe I like your guitar too...
Anyway, I played the darn Epiphone for a good long time the store, plugged into an Orange Micro Terror.
And I found another thing to love. That little amp looks like a toy, but it is a lot more of everything
than it appears to be. I did NOT buy anything from that store, a
nd so am contributing to the decline of
the brick & mortar guitar store boogie. Musician's Friend offered the same thing I had been looking at
with a 15% discount, no shipping and no sales tax... so it's pretty difficult for GC to compete with that.
Guitar slut will take any break... so I ended up with a cool Epiphone and an Orange Micro Terror 20W tube
amp hybrid and the combination is actually excellent. I saved enough on the guitar and the amp to pay for
some cool mods to the Epi and a good case to keep her in. Here's what she looks like:

You'll approve of my choice of hardware: all Black. I modded this baby with all black: Gotoh Tuners, Tusq nut, Rose pickups,
ebony pick guard, Black Gotoh bridge and tail... and black knobs. These things look great on a blonde guitar.
I named her Caledonia. She is so blonde, she could not get any blonder. And the combination of a nicely built Epiphone
guitar with good quality parts, pickups and wiring, played through the Orange Micro Terror into a couple of home built
cabs ... has me in P-90 heaven. Guitar slut, I know. But I'm old now and don't have a lot of money to throw out,
so I like to get a lot of guitar for my hard earned Social Security. (I did earn it, by the way... I've been paying into Social
Security since like 1964).
