I'm suffering pedal mod withdraw

Saving money is not a good enough deal to jump down the pedal mod / build rabbit hole.
I do partially to do it on the cheap, but:

You gotta have the nerdy Dexter mad scientist instinct to drive you.
Muahahahhaaaaaaaa!

So far, I built a PNP Ge and an NPN Si Fuzz Face with circuits from:
Fuzz Central -- Arbiter Fuzz Face

and a few others

and got most of my parts from Tayda, except the Ge transistors came from ebay.
Electronic Parts Online Store - Tayda Electronics

I also got the chips from them to upgrade my mediocre TS5 Tube Screamer closer to TS 808 specs, fix the dodgy footswitch flip-flop cap, add an oversize bright green LED, and still have 2 or 3 resistors to swap, but it sounds good to me as is.

I bought plenty of just about everything and still have a RangeBlaster (rangemaster variant) on deck.

Seriously, throw the rangemaster together. I have 3 of them, one with an OC44, one with an OC75 & one with either an OC71 or OC76 (I cant remember which it is off the top of my head). These are arguably my most used pedals. In front of a tube amp they are fantastic (never tried one in front of an SS amp). Do it my man, do it. Cheers
