Over a week ago I felt really run down. Got tested and came out positive.
This is week 2 of this and its been up and down. Some days I feel better some days I feel way worse.
Yesterday I felt terrible, today better.
The constant with this illness is this week long headache I have. No matter what I do, I cant shake it.

At least I have you guys to distract me from this poop.

From what people tell me, I should start feeling better this week. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. I hope none of you go through this, it sucks!

Anyway, I have a guitar coming, which gives me something to look forward to, and your posts that keep me in higher spirits.

Sounds like it happened to you about the same time as my wife. She’s also starting week two since testing positive. Same as you. Headache she couldn’t shake. She’s got some congestion. But overall. Feeling good enough to go sit outside and enjoy the sun. Moment she tested positive she’s masked up inside the house and moved upstairs to quarantine. I get the first floor and the pooch. And cook food.

What we can’t explain. Who she got it from or when. We’d just come back from a week in Wisconsin on Friday night (06/10). Saturday she was sick. Motel room. Hours in a car together. Sipping wine samples from the same cup. And of course. The obligatory smooch or two. She’s sick. I am not.

The only explanation we have. I’d gotten my 2nd booster on May 31. We left for WI on June 6.

Get better. Don’t push it. And above all. Enjoy that new guitar when it comes in. Best therapy ever.

For the moment the extreme chills and sweating are gone. I didnt know if I was cold or hot. The cough is still there. no congestion though. The joint and muscle aches are better, or maybe I'm just getting used to the aches. At one point it felt like every football injury I ever sustained said hi all at once.

Sounds like you and my wife are working from the same script.

Did you get tested, anyways? Maybe you're asymptomatic...
I didn’t. We have thought about that. But basically. I’ve gone no where and no need to for several more days….so basically quarantined as well. By end of week, asymptomatic or not. I should be good to go. That’d be two weeks since I would have been potentially infected by my wife.

Edit: add in. I’ve been careful. Our son and his family dog sat for us while we were in WI. When I went to pick our pooch up…. I didn’t go in. He brought her out to me. He was masked. I was masked. We kept our distance while chatting. And then Father’s Day. We didn’t gather.

In January, I began feeling very tired. I had a mild fever (100.8°) only in the late afternoon/evening, with my normal (always low) 94.8 to 95.6° body Temps in the morning.

I tested negative for Covid on 3 different tests.

My sense of smell became so heightened that I couldn't wear freshly washed clothing because the detergent smell was overwhelming.

I didn't feel too badly, but I literally had no energy. This lasted about 3 weeks.

6 months later, I'm still not back to 100% strength wise.

Sorry to hear this man! Hope you mend quickly and it doesn't pull any of that lingering long term poop that some folks get. I got lucky and had about 3 rough days with just headaches and bodyaches, but a long term bout of zero taste and smell for a good 6 weeks after. My mom on the other hand, dealt with some long term effects with breathing difficulties but seems to have come out on the good side of things after 5 months of hell.

Hope the worst is behind you and you get to enjoy the new axe: pics or it dont matter! ;)

For me, the worst part was the body aches and chills. That was back in January. But, based on your description, it doesn't seem like it hit me as hard as you are experiencing. I only had about 2 - 3 days where I really felt truly crappy. The rest of the time I felt very run-down and fatigued. That actually lasted for 2-3 weeks, even after I was no longer positive.

But, when I lost my smell and taste for a couple of days, I couldn't smell or taste coffee! THAT'S when I was officially upset!

That sucks bro, my wife had it in January,, but I never got the dreaded poop , keep on the good side bro, that new Explorer should lift your spirits.
Cheers

Just got word that 9 employees here at my work have covid. I have requested to work from home again. We shall see what we shall see. Many of you may remember last year when Mrs. Wav was in ICU for 3 weeks. We almost lost her and she now sufferers from respiratory and immunity issues putting a target on her back. I hope they let me return to working from home.

Finally feeling better. Still a little tired, but feeling much better.
This disease is a wild ride.
Good news. My wife came downstairs from quarantining herself on Wednesday. Like you, feels lots better. Still some congestion. A bit of a cough. But not like it was initially. Even before she un-quarantined, she’d been sitting outside grabbing some sun and vitamin D.

Hope they have the common kindness and decency to allow you that much, considering the rough bout you guys went thru once before with that god awful poop. Best of luck to both of you!
