I'll be gone a while

I've been playing with funny channels since the 23 channel crystal control radios with 22A that I modified in my preteen years. More recently I had modified 10 meter radios (Galaxy DX 95T & Galaxy DX-98VHP) and an Icom IC-718 with a Heathkit SB220. Loud and proud my brutha! AM/USB/LSB bootleg and legal. Been there, done that. Some D-104 Silver Eagle and Golden Eagle... Yeah, I had the bug.

i got a mid 80s Uniden Grant LT in my Kia with a Lil Wil mag mount.its a new car so i dont want it lookin to hidious haha

I just knew there was sumthin I liked about you Wade, 10-4, rodger D, I'm QRT. The number one constipation station of the nation with a little bit of agitation and modulation just got down!

Haven't run ham radio since coming back from Vietnam. A radio there was humped on your back. The old PRC25 was a beast. The smaller(?) mod# escapes me, wasn't much better and I made room in my ruck for that radio and left out rations and such. After a few months I sorta lost all interests in radios for personal fun? Yeah, that's close enough. After that radio was for work. Either in the field or later, back home in police work.

Oh, all those radios I had way back were bottle jobs. No microchip technology then! Big heavy clunkers. Ahhh, those were the days.:coffee:

73's!

Let's see...phonics I remember for radio use in the USAF...Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Gulf, Hotel, India, Juliet, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, X-Ray, Yankee, Zulu
