If you were building a 2203...

What would you change from the stock circuit? Any different capacitor or resistor values? How about negative feedback? Adjustable features?

For instance, I'm thinking about adding a resonance pot like the new DSLs.

You could add an FX loop option like the 2203X if you use pedals but its a permanent feature. Most modders suggest using a high value capacitor in C1 and C3 to make the High Input sound thicker. Some suggest removing and bridging out C6 and C26 to make the hi and low inputs darker, which might negate needing a resonance feature. They're simple adjustments that wont permanently alter the amp and you could always switch back to the original specs if it isnt your taste. A resonance pot is more permanent

have played many 2204 & 2203's & would ..and this is not intended to be smart. In my case. would make it whatever the 2205 i have does. The Right side act like NMV & the Boost just does that.. There is more responsiveness on that normal channel to dif guitars than anything i have experienced. Can dial a whole set in with the amp, (and that is never a concern for me-just was surprised)Then both sides absolutely take to pedals. What i have found on the 2203 & 4's is that they set one way then ya want something else a whole lot of changes need made. I favor the 2203 ..everytime ever played one.."loud" its insane..it is the tone but where can i do that on a reg basis.

People will argue the the diodes or whatever is in circuit but its really a moot point if ya stomp box it. So wish i would of experienced a 2205 0r 2210 before all the plexi's & DSL's. I love those amps but if i compare..the 2205 i have, just has it from low volume to loud as F & responds to greenbacks or throws forward with v30/t75 & absolutely is revealed with the k100's

I think the true mojo is in getting the 2203 in the zone & that is insanely loud, but nothing ..nothing touches that if you can..you need a LP, maybe TS & delay & away you go !!
