If you like pets...

Had to take the wee guy to the vet as we suspected he had swallowed something when he was out and it was stuck in his gut. He was in a bit of a bad way, puking and shitting and with obvious pain in his belly.
Turns out it wasn't something stuck, poor wee guy has been diagnosed with Weil's Disease and the vet said he's caught it by either licking or swallowing something contaminated with fox urine.
He's been put on a course of antibiotics and as usual for me the timing sucks, had to leave the house this morning for a month away offshore. :(

a new misfit was added to the farm this past week.
Shannon found an abandoned fertile duck egg lying about .....and well being Shannon -- she went around and found surrogate mother to sit on it and hatch it out............

Happy to say Hen and DUCKLING are doing well!

We also have 7 Embden Geese Juveniles roaming the dog yard (yes the dog yard-- ANatolians make great protectors of foul)

Here they are making a "pass" through the back porch area

you can also see Athena (female Anatolians) "Toy Treasures" strewn about the yard .........(there are more ) she likes to hoarde all sorts of things .........the red flyer wagon USED to be Shannons for moving gardening things around the property -- till Athena and her siblings (all others gone to forever homes) decided to EAT 1.5 of the wheels...........

Athena, her little play buddy -0--those two get into ALL SORTS of Mischief!!! (Mason the rat terrier pup next to Athena) Mazie (white Chihuahua running for cover as PLAY has begun) and Odin on the couch doing his "Dad" thing....and Matilda (small fawn "spec" lower right of pic ALSO running for cover under Dad -- as PLAY time with Athena and Mason (and Odin) can get ROWDY

the "cage" was the trainign area for the Chihuahua pups .... gives them a PLAY area they arent (sorta) in danger of being TRAMPLED in .... they all get a long very well. however 100+ lb dogs PLAYING -- around 3-4 lb puppies..........can get ...... "hazardous"

Scout and Spot (the parents) are great .....cuddly -- freindly creatures----- they do DEFEND their offspring......... they WILL bite you (it doesnt really hurt)
