Clem,
Based of what pics you have posted, it certainly looks legit to me. ‘Course, I ain’t no expert, but I have had several LPs and currently own a 2019 LP Standard “Unburst”. The case looks correct, as do the control pot positions. They are often mounted in incorrect positions on the Chibsons.

Yea, I plugged it through my Marshall yesterday, if it's a fake, it's a damn good one.
It feels right and sounds right. I paid $1300 (usd) for it so I'm stoked. That's pretty good for a LP in Australia. They are so overpriced here it is ridiculous.

I took the guitar to my local guitar shop for a going over and a set up. He confirmed it is legit.
The neck needs a little adjustment and one of the pots needs replacing. I'm getting it set up for 10 - 52 strings (in E flat)

I asked him to send me pics of the pickup cavities as there is supposed to be some indication as to the guitar being a plus in there.
The pics don't really do the top justice. I'll try and get some better pics when I get the guitar back.

Cheers

FWIW that isn't the model number, just a body identification. The model number is some god awful string of 8 letters or so. It is hand written in the owners manual if you got it. Also, yours is definitely a plus top (or some other special model) since it came with the pickguard not installed. I am curious why it has a blank truss rod cover, but they are easy enough to change.

These were posted earlier in the thread.
The wine red has a blank truss rod cover.

I may just buy one that says Standard on it and keep the blank one.

One thing look at the truss rod nut the commie counterfeits have a hex rod not a brass nut as per Gibson.
One more giveaway is Gibson's back of the head stock has two wings glued to the one piece neck.

I think this is the real deal...

But - let me say - I have seen fakes with the Gibson truss rod with a brass nut and a three piece headstock to boot...

This is mother of all athenticators:

"I am curious why it has a blank truss rod cover, but they are easy enough to change."

My 2019 LP Standard came with both a blank TRC in the case and one that says "Standard" mounted on the headstock. I prefered the blank one so installed it instead.
