I'd thought I was over this stuff.

I have a 2019 PRS S2 Custom 22. The S2 guitars are MIA with offshore electronics. My volume pot recently became very scratchy and cleaning didn’t help much. I ended up replacing it with a Bourns Pro.
I do have to say that the Asian made 58/15 S pickups sound amazing both split and as full humbuckers.

I bought an S2 Mira when they were very first released (2013?). Mine was one of the first batch of them. The volume pot started scratching intermittently after about 2/3 years, but it never completely died. I would just hit it with some Deoxit and it would work fine for 6 months or so. I believe I sold that guitar in 2017 and it was still working then.

I buy cheap pickups on Amazon alot that are OEM by Artec. Also, the best volume pedal I've ever used is an Artec with a magpot. Uses a magnet proximity effect to control the volume. They say it will never wear out like a rotary pot. So smooth and has a max and min level setting too which makes nailing the low gain tone a cinch. I've stopped doing volume swells on the guitar and can't stand any other volume pedal anymore.

A lot of GFS pickups were OEM by Artec as well, but I prefer not to pay shipping so I go to Amazon. Belcat is one of those brands I like.

The GFS Professional Series are Artec and they are some of the best pickups I have ever used at any price.
