IBANEZ STRAT KILLER!?!?!?!?

wait YOU ACTUALLLY WATCHED THE VIDEO?!?!?!

Yeah, I watched it!

It’s not a waste if you learned something or broadened your perspective.

I will add, I do like the way that Ibanez made the neck joint on that guitar. It looks like it would be better than the Fender for upper fret access.

I got this Strat in 1984 served me well played hundreds of shows with it.
Then someone tried to steel it off stage EMT's took that poor bastard away on a stretcher. I have a thing about thieves.
So now I play trash guitars on stage the new one is the Peavey HP2 NOS.

I've become very partial to this guitar:

I just played a private event at the Fender factory in Corona and it was the only guitar I took with me and I never play without a backup.

1982 Fender MIJ Standard Stratocaster body with all genuine Fender (or high quality/handmade) screws, springs and parts.
I thought you were more OCD than I am. I could never deal with that tuning peg regardless of if it works better.

LOL!!!

The 'correct' replacement- that matches the others in terms of finish and button shape - is the Grover 136G6.

But, since this is my main working guitar, I haven't had the time to down it for replacement.

Perhaps, that is a good argument for using a brass block. It may not provide a meaningful tone improvement, but it may be more durable?

My Stratocaster came stock with the die-cast saddles, not the stamped saddles. Supposedly, the stamped saddles provide more of “that” Strat tone. I DO know the die-cast saddles are way more comfortable for palm muting. My son has the stamped saddles on his Strat. I definitely prefer mine for feel. I’ve seen the brass saddles you made. They look nice!

I made saddles from stainless steel for Joe Bonnamassa's VonHerndon StageCrafter that Mom is giving to him. I wanted long wear and resistance to tarnish, plus it goes with the chrome hardware...
