Ibanez PJ Bass Upgrades

I bought this bass in 1993. Strings have been changed.... and that's about it. I did try what turned out to be a fail mod to the electronic. About a year ago I changed it all back to standard PJ. Two volume controls and one tone. I never really played it. My son learned to play bass in the late 90s with this guitar and before he purchased his own 5-string.

Anyway..... I've actually started playing it and after 30 years felt it was time for one or two upgrades. Jury is out on whether or not I'll change pups and maybe tuners. So far I've fabbed a control cover using carbon fiber.

Today I swapped out the OEM stamped steel bridge for a Hipshot chromed brass bridge. Scaled both and the new one is about 4 ounces heavier. Definitely more beef. I had already applied copper tape inside the control cavity and figured while I had the strings off I do the pup cavities. I ran out of tape and only got the neck cavity done. Also made very certain the ground wire was making good contact with the bridge abd checked the continuity after it was screwed down. We're good to go there. So here are a few shots as I'm fully aware photos or it didn't happen.

Question. Bought a pot kit for my PJ bass. Came with three 250 ohm pots. What I read is technically, the neck pup is a humbucker. Should the vol pot for that pup be a 500 ohm like it is for most humbucker guitars? Or am I overthinking things?
